Natpudan Ungalodu Mana Nala Sevai – Tele MANAS helpline (14416)
The Tele MANAS Helpline implemented in Tamil Nadu since October 2022, provides 24/7 toll-free tele-counselling and mental health support, particularly benefiting rural and underserved areas. The service ensures easy access, anonymity, and timely intervention for individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression. Two Tele MANAS cells operate in the State — one at the DMS Campus (108 Building) and another at the IMH Campus — with dedicated Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, and Counsellors. It is linked with District Mental Health Programmes which facilitates seamless referrals and follow-up care.
