Institute of Mental Health (IMH) is a State Government run Psychiatric Hospital situated in Kilpauk, Chennai catering to the persons with acute and chronic Mental health conditions.
Services offered includes Out-Patient services, Acute care Psychiatric services, Medium stay Psychiatric services, Long-stay psychiatric hospital, Deaddiction Centre, Child and Adolescent Psychiatric unit,Services for mentally ill Prisoners, Halfway home, Rehabilitation unit.
IMH is also offering post graduate courses in Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and post basic diploma in Psychiatric Nursing along with an Occupational Therapy centre which offers observership to students of Psychology, Social Work and Criminology.
