Comprehensive De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centres (CDRC) – Kalangarai Maiyam
De-addiction services for the state are being provided through all the Medical College Hospitals and also through exclusive De-addiction Centers (DAC). There are 28 Comprehensive Deaddiction Rehabilitation Centres (CDRC) in 24 Districts namely Kalangarai which provides Deaddiction and rehabilitation services for persons suffering from Substance Use Disorder (SUD). These Dedicated de-addiction centres provide a comprehensive continuum of care – encompassing structured services like acute detoxification, psychological counselling, and rehabilitation to follow-up care. The Kalangarai model places strong emphasis on emotional healing, family support, to prevent relapse and ensure sustained recovery.
