Referral and Treatment Pathway

When a patient presents with symptoms suggestive of a heart attack, the Mid-Level Health Care Provider (MLHP) at the Health Sub-Centre conducts the initial assessment and administers the emergency cardiac loading dose medication.

Following stabilization, the patient is immediately referred through an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance to the nearest definitive cardiac care centre for specialized evaluation and treatment.
