Many individuals experience this identity from an early stage of life, often described as <strong>gender dysphoria<\/strong>.<\/div>\n<div>Tamil Nadu has established dedicated multi-specialty clinics to provide equitable, comprehensive, and respectful healthcare services to the transgender community. These clinics function once a week on an outpatient basis and cater to a wide range of healthcare needs.<\/div>\n<strong style=\"padding-left: 10px; font-size: 16px;\"> Services offered includes: <\/strong>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\" type=\"I\">\n \t<li>gender-affirmative hormone therapy<\/li>\n \t<li>sex reassignment procedures<\/li>\n \t<li>dermatological and urological care<\/li>\n \t<li>mental health counselling<\/li>\n \t<li>treatment for common ailments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nDue to widespread social stigma and discrimination, transgender individuals often face significant barriers in accessing healthcare services.
