The center plays a vital role in training healthcare professionals and strengthening burn care services across the State.<\/div><p>Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) for Burns Management have been developed and implemented statewide. Specialized training programs were conducted to improve the capacity of healthcare professionals handling burn emergencies.<\/p><h3>Training &amp; Capacity Building<\/h3><div class=\"program-block\"><p>Training programs were conducted in multiple<strong>\u00a0batches<\/strong>, covering a total of 109 doctors,114 staff nurses and 81 physiotherapists.<\/p><\/div><h3>Burns Treatment Outcomes (Jan 2022\u2013Apr 2026)<\/h3><div class=\"stat-grid\"><div class=\"stat-card\"><strong>Total Burn Patients Treated<\/strong><br \/>21,072<\/div><\/div><h3>Advanced Burns Care Facilities<\/h3><div class=\"program-block\"><p>The Burns Management Center at Kilpauk Medical College Hospital has been strengthened with advanced medical technologies at a cost of <strong>\u20b98.80 Crore<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Newly introduced advanced therapies include:<\/p><ul><li>Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy<\/li><li>Laser Therapy<\/li><li>Microsurgery Equipment<\/li><\/ul><p>These enhanced services were inaugurated by the Hon\u2019ble Health Minister on <strong>09.10.2024<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div><h3>Beneficiaries<\/h3><div class=\"stat-grid\"><div class=\"stat-card\"><strong>Patients Benefited (since launch)<\/strong><br \/>180<\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Home Burns Management \u00a0Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital (KMC) has been designated as the Apex Training Center for Burns Management in Tamil Nadu.
