The programme aims to ensure respectful, quality and assured maternal and newborn healthcare services across public health institutions.\n<\/div>\n\n<h3>SUMAN Service Guarantee Packages<\/h3>\n\n<p>\nSince all services cannot be provided at every health facility, each facility is required to notify its <strong>Service Guarantee Package<\/strong> based on available infrastructure, manpower and services. The packages are categorized based on the level of care available at the facility.\n<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"unit-grid\">\n\n<div class=\"unit-card\">\n<strong>Basic Package<\/strong><br>\nEssential maternal and newborn healthcare services.\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"unit-card\">\n<strong>BEmONC<\/strong><br>\nBasic Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care services.\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"unit-card\">\n<strong>CEmONC<\/strong><br>\nComprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care services.\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<h3>Steps for Operationalizing the Service Guarantee Package<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"program-block\">\n\n<ul>\n\n<li>Identification of eligible health facilities under the SUMAN initiative.<\/li>\n\n<li>Self-assessment of facilities to evaluate service readiness.<\/li>\n\n<li>Notification of SUMAN facilities by the District or State authorities after satisfactory assessment.<\/li>\n\n<li>District administration ensures that facilities provide SUMAN service packages and publicize them through citizen charters, websites and mass media.<\/li>\n\n<li>Display the list of SUMAN facilities at Panchayats, Zila Parishads, WCD offices, NRLM units and all health facilities including AB-HWCs.<\/li>\n\n<li>Link identified SUMAN facilities through online and IT-enabled systems.<\/li>\n\n<li>Conduct monitoring and review every six months and notify the revised list of facilities accordingly.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-49b7677 e-con-full e-flex elementor-invisible e-con e-child\" data-id=\"49b7677\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;animation&quot;:&quot;slideInLeft&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Home SUMAN (Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan) Under the SUMAN initiative, all pregnant women and newborns visiting public health facilities are entitled to a set of guaranteed free healthcare services.
