Screening of Antenatal Mothers<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"program-block\">\n\n<p>\nAll registered antenatal mothers are screened for Hepatitis B using <strong>HBsAg rapid card tests<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>If tested positive, they are referred to higher health facilities such as SDH, DH or Medical College Hospitals.<\/li>\n<li>Further clinical management and follow-up care are provided at these centres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<h3>2. HBIG Administration to Newborns<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"program-block\">\n\n<p>\nNewborns delivered to Hepatitis B positive mothers are administered:\n<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hepatitis B Immunoglobulin (HBIG)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Birth dose of Hepatitis B vaccine<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>\nThis intervention helps prevent <strong>mother-to-child transmission<\/strong> of Hepatitis B infection.\n<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<h3>3. Screening and Treatment for Hepatitis B &#038; C<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"program-block\">\n\n<ul>\n<li>High-risk groups and the general population are screened using rapid card tests.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals who test positive are referred to treatment centres.<\/li>\n<li>Viral load testing and further evaluation are conducted.<\/li>\n<li>Eligible patients are initiated on appropriate treatment for Hepatitis B or C.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<h3>4. Hepatitis B Immunisation<\/h3>\n\n<div class=\"program-block\">\n\n<p>\nHepatitis B is a vaccine-preventable disease. Under NVHCP:\n<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine are administered at <strong>0, 1 and 6 months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Vaccination is provided to <strong>healthcare workers<\/strong> to reduce occupational risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<h3>5.
